1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PinUp ("the App"), provided by buildev-net ("we", "us", or "Developer"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

2. Use of the App & User Content

PinUp provides a private sticky notes management and home screen widget service. You retain full ownership over all content, notes, checklists, and text you create within the App.

3. Disclaimer of Responsibility for Inappropriate Use

PinUp and buildev-net are not responsible or liable for any inappropriate, illegal, unauthorized, improper, offensive, or infringing use of the App, nor for any content, text, or images created, saved, displayed, or shared by users through the App. Users assume full, sole responsibility for their conduct and all content created or maintained using the App.

4. Local Storage & Server-less Architecture

All your notes are stored locally on your physical device by default. If you choose to enable Google Drive Cloud Backup, your notes are backed up directly to your personal Google Drive account. PinUp and buildev-net do not operate central database servers hosting your note content and do not store your notes on company servers.

5. Disclaimer of Liability for Lost Notes & Zero Server Access

Because the App operates locally on your device and is not connected to our servers in any way, PinUp and buildev-net have zero access to your notes or backup files. Consequently:

  • We cannot check, inspect, or audit what happened behind the scenes on your device or Google Drive account.
  • We cannot recover lost notes or restore data on your behalf.
  • PinUp and buildev-net are not responsible or liable for any loss, corruption, deletion, or inability to access notes or backups under any circumstances (including device failure, OS updates, app uninstallation, storage clearing, or third-party cloud errors).

6. User Responsibility for Backups

You are solely responsible for safeguarding your device and managing your note backups. We strongly recommend taking regular manual backups of your notes (via CSV Export or Google Drive Cloud Sync) and keeping independent copies of all important notes.

7. Sensitive Data Notice

⚠️ Notice: PinUp is designed for general note-taking, reminders, and checklists. Do not store highly sensitive personal information (such as passwords, credit card numbers, PINs, social security numbers, or confidential financial/medical records) in your notes.

8. Advertising & Third-Party Services

The free version of PinUp displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. By using the App, you acknowledge that third-party ad networks may serve ads and collect technical data in accordance with Google's policies and our Privacy Policy.

9. Remote Configuration & Dynamic Content

The App dynamically retrieves operational parameters, update notifications, feature toggles, and web links from remote configuration servers (Firebase). PinUp and buildev-net are not responsible for third-party websites or services accessed via external links.

10. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall PinUp, buildev-net, or its developers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost notes or data loss) arising from your use of the App. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PinUp and buildev-net from any claims arising out of your use of the App.

11. Changes to Terms of Use

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the App following any updates constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
